Guests have been provided with a tasty packed lunch which generally includes sandwiches, fruit and a soft drink. Extra refreshments are available on board the Waterbus. After this exciting day the evening meal can either be enjoyed in Ardmourne House or in a local restaurant. Overnight: Ardmourne House

Day 3 (Monday):
Having enjoyed Helena's tasty breakfast guests are transferred to the small town of Castlederg. 10 am - 1 pm: "Improve your English" conversation course in the Mourne Derg Business Centre. This course is not designed as a language course in the true sense of the word but is aimed at guests with basic English which they may have learnt at school quite some time ago and which they might want to improve during their holidays. Participants and experienced teachers are discussing subjects of general interest and everybody will be able to contribute. At the end of the week participants generally find that they have extended their English vocabulary and are able express themselves more fluently. A light lunch awaits the participants at the end of the conversation course. 2 - 7 pm: After spending the morning in a classroom environment some activities will most probably appreciated by everybody: the extensive forestland in the vicinity of Ardmourne House is ideal for a few hours on horseback. Even guests who seldom or never go horse riding will enjoy these few hours on a horse and advanced riders may try the more demanding routes. Dinner is available either at Ardmourne House or in a local restaurant. 8 - 9 pm: These four hours of music tuition during the week are designed for everybody who likes to listen to traditional Irish music and who would like to learn the basic skills to be able to play some Irish airs even if he doesn't play any instruments. After dinner guests are transferred to the Killeter Heritage Centre not far from Ardmourne House where experienced tutors will introduce them to traditional Irish music. Three instruments are available to interested guests: tin whistle, fiddle and piano. At the end of the week participants should be able to play some easy traditional Irish music. Overnight: Ardmourne House

Day 4 (Tuesday):
After an enjoyable and hearty Irish breakfast guests drive to Castlederg again for their English conversation course. 10 am - 1 pm: "Improve your English" conversation course in the Mourne Derg Business Centre. This is followed by a light snack for lunch. 2 - 5 pm: This afternoon guests will get to know the cultural places and historic sites in the area of which there are quite a few. The evening meal may again either be enjoyed in Ardmourne House or in one of the local restaurants. 8 - 9 pm: Guests are meeting at the Killeter Heritage Centre again to attend their second music lesson. In a short time guests are back in Castlederg again. 10 am - 1 pm: "Improve your English" conversation course in the Mourne Derg Business Centre. After a light lunch at the end of the course the afternoon will be an active one again. 2 - 5 pm: Today guests can choose between two activities - horse riding and cycling with modern 15-speed bikes. Friends or partners who can't decide which one to choose but who would still like to spend the afternoon together needn't worry - the routes around Ardmourne House have been designed for use by riders as well as cyclists and walkers. Dinner again may be booked either in Ardmourne House or in one of the local restaurants. 8 - 9 pm: Back to the Killeter Heritage Centre for yet another enjoyable hour of music tuition. Overnight: Ardmourne House

Day 6 (Thursday): Guests are driven to Castlederg after having enjoyed their healthy Irish breakfast. 10 am - 1 pm: "Improve your English" conversation course in the Mourne Derg Business Centre, followed by a light lunch. 2 - 5 pm: Cycling and walking in beautiful countryside is healthy, relaxing and enjoyable and guests are looking forward to the next few hours. The cycling and walking routes around Ardmourne House are suitable for everybody - easy and flat for those who would just like to have a relaxing walk or an easy cycle ride and more mountainuous areas for experienced walkers and cyclists who are used to more demanding routes. The active afternoon comes to an end and guests will have to decide again: dinner in Ardmourne House or in a local restaurant? 8 - 9 pm: For the last time everybody assembles in the Killeter Heritage Centre for their final music lesson and the grand finale - a traditional Irish air played to perfection! Overnight: Ardmourne House.

Day 7 (Friday):
The leisurely breakfast may go on a bit longer today since there is no "school" today! Everybody may enjoy the day and do what they want: walking, cycling, horse riding, sightseeing, shopping, practise music or just relax and let the world go by. Whatever guests choose to do - they are all provided with one of Helena's imaginative lunch boxes. At an agreed time in the evening guests, language and music teachers as well as local musicians meet in Ardmourne House for an informal dinner followed by a music session. Guests may want to prove that they mastered the basic skills of Irish music, they may want to play together with the local musicians or may prefer just to listen to the experts. The evening will be an enjoyable end of an enjoyable week! Overnight: Ardmourne House.
